After months of speculation, Atlantic and Chop Shop Records have announced that the first single from the upcoming New Moon Soundtrack will be Death Cab for Cutie’s ‘Meet Me On the Equinox’. Fans will be able to hear the song, which was written exclusively for the soundtrack, in its entirety for the first time September 13th on MTV.com during the MTV VMAs. The New Moon Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be in stores October 20th, stay tuned for more information and artist confirmations!

O.A.R. Releases ‘Love Is Worth The Fall’
August 12th, 2009Anyone who picked up the deluxe version of the Twilight soundtrack that was released last March should now be familiar the Twilight-inspired song by O.A.R. ‘Love Is Worth the Fall.’ The song is now available on iTunes, so if you didn’t get the deluxe then you can still get the song on its own here:
O.A.R.’s Marc Roberge sent the following describing his experience with writing the song for Twilight:
“After Catherine showed me early cuts of Twilight I left Los Angeles with my imagination spinning and only one sentence written in my notes, “If he could only read her mind.” Would that make this improbable love any easier? ‘Love Is Worth The Fall’ is about the sacrifices we are willing to make for even the chance at true love. It is a song written to grow dynamically wider and more full from beginning to end just as the story of Edward and Bella starts with a glance only to become deeper with every passing day. We wanted to put to music this epic love story we saw on screen.”

Muse To Perform At MTV VMAs
July 15th, 2009Twilight fans will be pleased to learn that MTV have announced Muse will be performing at the 2009 Video Music Awards! As you may already be aware, the British rock outfit are Stephenie Meyer’s favorite band and she thanked them for their inspiration and called them “rock gods” in New Moon and Eclipse, and then decided to dedicate Eclipse to the band for providing “a saga’s worth of inspiration.” Muse’s single, ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ also appeared on the soundtrack for Twilight and was featured during the film in the baseball scene.

Teen Choice Awards Nominates Twilight!
June 16th, 2009Twilight has earned a whopping 12 nominations at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards! This includes a Choice Music nomination for the Twilight Soundtrack and a Choice Music Rock Track nomination for the lead single by Paramore, ‘Decode’.
All 12 categories Twilight has been mentioned in are listed below. If you’re between the ages of 13-19, you can register to vote at www.teenchoiceawards.com. The awards will take place on August 10th (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, with The Jonas Brothers hosting the ceremony. Make sure you tune in to see if Twilight walks away with some surfboards!

Twilight Wins Big At MTV Movie Awards!
June 3rd, 2009Capping a night of vampire domination at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, fan favorite Twilight took home an impressive five awards! As well as collecting a Golden Popcorn for Best Movie, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart picked up Best Female Performance, Breakthrough Performance Male, and a shared win for Best Kiss. Robert Pattinson also triumphed in the Best Fight category for his battle with co-star Cam Gigandet.
Along with co-star Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart presented an exclusive, never-before-seen trailer from the upcoming sequel, New Moon, which you can now watch below!
