Twilight fanatic and lead singer of Paramore, Hayley Williams has been speaking to MTV about her love for Bella’s character.
“When I was on the second and third books, Jacob was my favorite, and everyone, like, hates Jacob for whatever reason,” Hayley said. “But I gotta say, I love Bella, because I feel like she’s a very complex and beautiful person.”

Hey, I’m 100% Edward all the way but whats with all the hatin’ on Jacob? Jacob is cute and funny as all get out but we all knew Bella was going to pick Edward no matter what she felt for Jacob. I just felt bad for Jacob because he reminds me of some of the guys friends I’ve had and lost because they started to develop feelings for me that I didn’t reciprocate. And to all those people out there who thinks Bella is a wuss, the fact that she started developing feelings for Jacob while she is trying to put the pieces of her life back together shows how strong she really is. It means she doesn’t just follow Edward around like a puppy dog all the time, doing whatever to please him. Which would be kinda pathetic.

Okay, I LOVE Edward. 190%! But I have to admit that I love Jacob too, he is a totally awesome guy! The way he looks after Bella because he loves her so much is so romantic! I just love it! I love Edward. Jacob doesn’t bother me in the fourth book as much as he does in the second. That all was just dragged out way too long, I’m happy Jacob was there for her. But in the third book it was way too much. I wanted to kick him in the balls and tell him to hit the road personally. But the fourth is just as good as the first. Lovelovelove Twilight. Hope she writes more even thoug that little incident happened…. she can’t let me down. (:

Not everyone hates Jacob. My bestfriend’s favourite is Jacob. She’s so pist that Bella doesn’t finish up with him. For my part, I really like Edward. When I was little, I believed in good vampires and I wanted to be one. Stephenie made my kid memories come back with Edward and all the other Cullens. The love that bonds Edward and Bella is incredible. He’s the perfect men and she’s a normal girl who deserves a guy like Edward. I guess that’s why I liked the books so much, you could refer yourself as them.
BTW, The movie is GREAT!! Can’t wait for the DVD!

Oh, come on, everybody! Jake is so lovely! How can you just not like him? Edward is great, okay, but Jake is everything Bella needed! He makes her laugh, have good times, not worrying about dangers and losing her family for eternity! I absolutely LOVE Jacob Black! I think people more mature (I mean, in age) like him most. It happens when you read the books more than once. You start wanting them together. Jake is absolutely perfect. I would never mind dating that warewolf!

I am sorry to say but this book is more for adult woman. 14 year olds should not be reading it. But this the USA TODAY so nothing I can do…Anyway, I am intoxicated by the soundtrack. I lived in Seattle for 12 years and know all the landmarks in the book with my eyes closed. Hayley you are awesome!!I have never ever seen a movie adaptation of a book and soundtrack become so successful since I came to the USA.

Okay, so i don’t hate Jacob, I mean, he was pretty much the reason for Bella’s survival when edward left her. I just dont think theyre right for each other at all. everyone knows edward is bella’s mate and always will be and always has been. and dont get me wrong, im 120% team edward, but i like jacob. and hes imprinted on renesmee now so he and bella could never be. i love the way everything turned out in the end.

i read over half of these posts, sorry to the people at the end, i just didn’t get time to read them all. i dont know if the conversation changed towards the end of the page.
dont hate anyone. this is written from bellas point of view until jacob in the last book, remember that. the other charachters didnt really get to explain themselves to us very often. i know its a terrible explanation, but theyre only human. jacob didnt have centuries to become the perfect person like edward did, hes younger than bella even. i dont blame him for trying to manipulate her, he loved her. and even if you say he didnt love her, he atleast thought he did. i was not angry at him for imprinting on reneesme, i kindof hoped he would as soon as bella got pregnant, also, he didnt choose to. why is it such a big scandal for him to kiss her? people do that all the time and they dont get judged nearly so hard. i would be willing to bet that if jessica kissed ben everyone would get over it. it would never turn up on one of these sites. yea, no one thinks of that. cause that wasnt love right? but wait, yea it was. i think ben and angela loved each other. theyre just human thats all. so why isnt jacob allowed to make those mistakes when it would be acceptable for jessica to? jacob is a nicer person than jessica is. have you read the extras on stephenie meyer’s site? jacob was patient, he was there for her, and sure, he has a temper, but he did love her. also, hes a different person from edward. dont judge jacob if he doesnt stand up to the standard it would take for him to beat edward. people say that bella is annoying sometimes too, ditzy and silly, and trips over, well she cant help tripping over, and shes not so feeble around jacob. shes a different person around him. edward is responsible and strong and he makes her sort of small. as if she immediatley fills the weak person. with jacob shes an equal, she can stand on her own feet more often. rosalie is prejudiced too, did anyone ever consider that she just grew up that way? i kind of blame her parents. and i wouldnt even blame them if i heard their story, people were a lot like that in that time. they were only human. and something that doesnt come up a lot, my favourite character is angela. shes human, and shes sweet. she doesnt do spiteful silly things and shes a good friend. edward and bella are not my favourites, i do like them though. angela is a truly good person. and she doesnt have to be a main character. thats me. i dont normally write on these, but i might more often now. and i dont really mind if no one except me reads these. angela is my role model.

Some people are feeling a little too sorry for Jacob. His character was built up to be Bella’s friend. Not her lover. I adore Edward, but I much perfer Robert Pattinson. I could listen to his accent all day. Anyway, stop being so protective over Jacob, I mean come on, he’s a fictional character. Edward was made for Bella, and Jacob was made to be a faithful friend….man’s best friend.
