Twilight fanatic and lead singer of Paramore, Hayley Williams has been speaking to MTV about her love for Bella’s character.
“When I was on the second and third books, Jacob was my favorite, and everyone, like, hates Jacob for whatever reason,” Hayley said. “But I gotta say, I love Bella, because I feel like she’s a very complex and beautiful person.”

Well, I don’t HATE Jacob, but I’m definitely more for Team Edward. I think that Edward is more of Bella’s “love interest”, and Jacob is more of the “best friend”. I think that without Jacob, the books would be boring. You wouldn’t have the constant tension between the Edward x Bella x Jacob triangle. Plus, I agree that Jacob is an amazing friend to Bella. But I think that in the end Bella and Edward should be together. You know? I think both Edward and Jacob are good characters. I’m also a big fan of Bella. So I agree, you shouldn’t diss on characters. Stephenie Meyer put all the characters there for a reason, and we should just leave it at that. Still, I have to say that I <3 Edward!

I agree with kilsey in the ugly actor part of her comment. I do understand Jacob’s resoning in Eclipse having read it 10 times and Twilight 10 times and New Moon 9 times and i’m working on my 2nd time for Breaking Dawn. 1 time for the host though that’s next!

OMFG I have to say I am 50/50 on the Edward & Jacob thing. Jacob is the lovable little boy and Edward is the sexy experienced older/younger man haha. I like them both. I would love to have my own Edward for sure but who wouldn’t want their own Jacob? He was there for her when Edward left, that would mean something to me. I personally am Team Edward/Jacob/Emmett/Jasper. I’d love to have that much love even if I can’t have two of them for sure but a girl can dream. I think we all have the love of a cold one and a hot one.

I think Jacob gets a bad rap. Its just that hes still pretty young and need to mature mentally but he is all around trying to be a good friend, though i thought it was a total dick move when he showed charlie the motorcycles. As for the imprinting thing, thats really not his fault. As they said in the book werewolves cant help who they imprint on. And he never viewed Renesmee as anything other than sort of a baby sister, unlike that other half vampire.

I love Edward – I mean, who doesn’t? But even he has his bad traits. Like he can be over-protective sometimes, he doesn’t always tell Bella everything that he should… you know? But overall Edward is an amazing person – er, Vampire. XD
I generally don’t like Jacob but he can be a good person. He can be really caring, nice, generous, helpful. He’s pretty witty, too. I mean, generally he’s a pretty okay guy but he doesn’t always think before acting, he can be pretty obnoxious, pretty aggressive too and can’t always control himself. Plus, in some parts he would almost force Bella to kiss him – so I’d guess he’d be kinda demanding? In a way…I guess you know what I mean. But he shouldn’t be completed hated. He’s like an obnoxious brother who always gets on your nerves but you can love him at times – you know?

I think Edward is the better choice overall, but I do NOT like that he abandoned her in the second book. Even if it was for her own safety. I just don’t think it’s right. I mean, I understand it, but he should’ve known that leaving her would do more damage than putting her in danger. And I have to say, I adore Jacob. He has ALWAYS been there for her. He’s the better friend, in my opinion. If you’re in a relationship, you want someone who can be a good friend. Sure, he was pushy and made Bella choose, which was wrong, but he was in LOVE with her. Love can make you do things out of character. He was going through a bunch of tough stuff right then, and to think that his best friend, whom he loved so much, was going to die willingly for a vampire was unbearable. I can see why he would act the way he did. But that’s just me :]

I don’t know. I don’t HATE Jacob but I don’t like him. He was way too pushy and I can see from Bella’s perspective-well not fully but I know how it feels when someone is trying to make you love them. You can’t force someone to love you and that was what he was trying to do. Even when he made her realize that she loved him some It made her sad and confused. He should’ve just let it be. Cause forcing someone to love you can tear them away and is really annoyin. I don’t talk to my guy friend anymore because he tried to make me love him and that made me hate me hate him. See?
